How to Open, Edit and Save work on SDC2
Sandhurst School would like to announce the arrival of our new internet based Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) called Sandhurst Digital Campus2 (SDC2).
What is a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)?
A VLE is a personalised area on the internet for Sandhurst School staff, students and parents. It enables staff to easily upload lessons and resources for students to access and gives them a secure place on the web to interact with each other used both inside of lessons and outside of school hours. If you do not have a computer at home with internet access we will be making arrangements for use of school machines after school and we recommend the use of other services with internet access such as libraries, city learning centres and community centres.
Getting involved..
One of the key aspects we liked about this system was the ability for you to be involved in your child’s school work and to see what they are doing in lessons and how their results are progressing.
We hope that you and your child will take full advantage of this account and help us to realise the potential of this system to raise results.
Logging on
Years 7, 8, 10, 12 & 13 Students have been assigned a username which will start with their first initial then full surname followed by a number (generated by the software). For example: djones21 for David Jones. An initial password will be given and must be changed at first logon (ideally this needs to be something that students will be able to remember). Other year groups will be issues a username at a later stage through the year.
Years 9 & 11 still need to use the SDC1 at www.sandhurstdigitalcampus.co.uk
username and password: date of birth followed by 2 initials (firstname then surname) e.g. 010885dj
