Media studies is a relevant and rewarding subject taught in the Sixth Form at Sandhurst School. The course covers:
- practical film-making projects;
- film and television studies;
- media companies and their audiences;
- issues in media and
- individual research.
Methods of teaching are diverse and engaging to include role-play and discussion as well as independent research and watching films.
Students work towards AS and A2 Level qualifications and are assessed through practical coursework and exams.
This course should interest anyone who wants to investigate how we receive our information in the modern world, as well as those with creative ambitions. Media Studies at AS and A2 Level can help students acquire a university place studying media, English, journalism, sociology or other related subjects.
