Head of Department: Mr Woods

The Business and Economics Department consists of four teachers committed to bringing Business and Enterprise to life. The department use a wide variety of teaching styles and practical activities to make the subject as enjoyable and relevant as possible.
The department use educational visits, role-plays and presentations to make the subject exciting and dynamic.

Courses
Key Stage 4: The majority of students work towards the full GCSE Business qualification. However we do have a minority of pupils who are completing the single award specification.
In addition to GCSE Business Studies we also run GCSE Economics at Key Stage 4.
Students have the opportunity to study for Higher and Foundation examinations.

Our Key Stage 5 courses at present concentrate on AS and A2 Business Studies. However, the exciting possibility of running a level 2 BTEC first Certification in Business is being considered for the future.
