
The Library is open every day from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm (Friday 3.30 pm) and is managed by the Librarian. Students in Years 7 to 11 may borrow two books for a period of two weeks. Sixth Form students may borrow up to six books and the loan period may be extended if the books are not required by another student.
English classes come to the Library regularly and other subject areas are able to bring in classes when the timetable allows. Tables and chairs will accommodate over thirty students and an informal seating area will seat a further 30 students.
At lunchtime students are welcome to come to the Library in order to read or do homework. After school there is a Homework Club that is run by a Senior Teacher Assistant. Students are able to get their homework done before going home and may ask for assistance if required.
The Library stock provides curriculum support for students of all abilities , caters for students’ interests and hobbies and provides information which students need for their development. There is a large selection of fiction stock which is regularly updated with new publications. Daily and local newspapers and magazines are also available. The collection is fully catalogued and there is a searchable catalogue on two Library computers. The internet is also available.
Within the Library there is a computer suite containing 29 computers. Internet access and Sandhurst Digital Campus are available.
