Year 13
- Students will work towards meeting their project objectives. These will be specific to the individual. For each homework session students will make an entry in their activity log where they will set themselves a target for the hour and then return to the log to review progress at the end of the session. Examples of activities might include:
- Watching a documentary on their topic of choice.
- Reading a relevant chapter in a book and making some notes.
- Working on a rough draft of the current section of the project.
- Reviewing and editing a draft of a particular section.
- Conducting research on the internet/in the library to find useful resources on the project topic.
- Adding references to an essay and listing these in an appropriate bibliography.
- The extended project assesses four main skill areas – planning, researching, developing ideas and reviewing progress.
- Each homework activity should be an opportunity to demonstrate one of these skill areas.
- It is expected that students will complete 1 hour of homework following every project lesson (4 lessons per week).
