This course is the first step into a career that spans many sectors: nursing, social work, midwifery, psychology and care work just to name a few. Assessment will take place via coursework as well as an exam element. Your course work will be assessed by your tutor & then your work will be assessed by OCR. This course will allow you to take the first step into an industry where there is a severe shortage of workers and you can really make a difference in society and people’s lives. You could choose to work within the NHS, or go into more private companies. You will learn and develop new skills that will aid you in helping people with many different needs such as the elderly, people with disabilities and those with learning difficulties to manage their everyday lives.
